The New School of Organ Studies
One of The New School of Organ Studies aims is to attract more friends to The New School of Organ Studies to continue this support so that more organists can receive organ tuition, organ lessons and training on the workings of a church pipe organ. The New School of Organ Studies has grown into a substantial institution with a number of self governing local branches. which work closely together for the benefit of the New School of Organ Studies as a whole providing organ tuition and organ lessons on both pipe organs and electronic organs.
The New School of Organ Studies was founded in 1990 by Geoffrey Symon. It was the increasing demand for weekly organ lessons, organ tuition and the need to reconcile the difference between the rates that students could afford and the fee teachers required, with administration costs which led him to create the New School of Organ Studies as a registered charity and to the appointment of non-executive trustees.
The New School of Organ Studies welcomes absolute beginners. A very successful organ tuition method is offered.
The fund raising activities of each branch is part of the fundamental structure of the New School of Organ Studies that allows it to thrive. The New School of Organ Studies puts on many organ recitals, done either by the students of the school or by their teachers to raise money and raise the profile of the charity.
The New School of Organ Studies provides excellent Organist Training for Churches and other recreational pastimes.
